CHAPTER 16

THE EXTRAORDINARY PATHS OF LIFE

Finally the spirit within us has awakened and we’ve found out that our real purpose is to turn our face toward the Light – toward our Creator.  We consciously start our journey back to that Creative Source – Universal Mind – which is waiting for us to finish our journey.      The three main paths are Love, Life and Light.  There are other ways – Peace, Music, Nature, Ceremonial, Beauty and Art, Healing and the Home for instance.  When we say that we come in on a particular ray or life path means that we chose to come to express one particular quality of the Whole, although not only that quality.

We have probably already learned many things about our particular road in past lives as well as traveled many by-paths and we’ve learned countless lessons through trial and error.  Frequently our personalities will let us know what path we are following.

It will also disclose how far along we’ve gone and how far we have to go.  As an illustration of that, take those persons who are born to give light and wisdom to the world.  We instinctively, know they will be intelligent but often some will disperse their knowledge in such obstreperous ways that it is unacceptable to the recipients.  Those particular ones will get a reputation for being bossy and intrusive this time around unless they elect to change as described below.

What a difference when those persons on that Path of Light learn that their personalities must be softened, that tact is part of the intelligent person's makeup and  they shouldn’t intrude into another’s aura through words or actions unless invited.  These rules of behavior may be gained by learning from experiences, through prayer and meditation and by realizing that there are definite goals which we will reach when we depend upon the Creator to open the doors.

A message from Master Ra about the birth path of Light, its nuances and obligations given to Eleanore Thedick in October of 1971 is so powerful that it may be applied to other paths as well.  We shall all benefit and should consider it part of our special highway.  He says, “I want you to come closer to me.  I represent Wisdom and Light.  These are dark days that the world is passing through but everywhere a little candle is glowing, the Spirit of Light.  That is where I come in for I am Light.  I am also Wisdom, the Wisdom of Almighty God.”

The balance applies to all of us and can stand as an illustration of how to approach the mighty ones: He tells us, “All you need to do is ask me in our Creator’s Name if you are uncertain of what to do in handling a situation.  I want you to feel toward me as a friend, not as just a great Master, but as your friend.  I’m one like you would go to on the earth plane and say; ‘I need a little help.’

“You could do it as you go to sleep.  You could ask that you spent part of your hours of sleep with me.  We will go to beautiful Temples of Wisdom and Light and Temples of Understanding.  There are many degrees of Wisdom, many degrees of Light.  Sometimes it is wiser to get an understanding of a situation rather than illumination.

“Understanding is something we don’t often hear prayed for.  We hear you pray for knowledge, patience, and peace and that you have more love.  You also give thanks for your blessings but understanding which is part of wisdom is very important.  To understand the situation that we face and learn to be in control of it, whether it is you're own body, mind or soul or some one else’s or even the world.  If you understand, you have power and can bring Light to it.

“When you allow angels to help you along your chosen path, they advance as does

the Department of Angelhood.  It is also that way with Masters.  We grow and

become more angelic.  We are then able to take a higher place in our own area.

We can work through the Grace of our Creator to help one upon the earth with the

Wisdom we have and that person is able to use it for others, then we are able to take a

step forward ourselves on the Path of Masterhood."

It is that way on all the Paths of Unfoldment.  We seek constant growth, constant

unfoldment and we’re always reaching out to something to be attained that we desire to bring forth. You are helping us, the Angels and the Masters, when you ask us to help where we may emanate.  The power of Light and Wisdom is strong and must only be sent where it is right lest it may burn the one who receives it.  It should be tempered before it goes out from us.  Query in this manner:  'As we are filled with Light, where may it be sent?'  If a name or names or areas of land or sea comes quickly to our attention, send the Light there.  If nothing comes through to us let that same Light return to its Source.

Next we will consider the Path of Love.  If we are on this Ray, we are to let this quality go forth from us to everyone and every place – we just let . . . let . . . let.  If we dam up the love, negative blocks automatically come.  This love should be the warm, impersonal care and tenderness of our Creator.  If it doesn’t go forth from us, if we hold it back, sickness, unhappiness and fear may come to us.  That isn’t punishment – it just happens – its law and order.  If a stream is dammed and can’t flow, it becomes stagnant.  This is a scientific fact, whether or not we are on a spiritual path.

Just as those on the Ray of Light need to add love and life and color to their learnings, so do those on the Ray of Love need to learn Wisdom in order to get understanding of the marvel of their ray.  This is particularly true because Love is inclined to give too much.  This puts us out of balance, out of rhythm.  It’s like playing on one note without having any rests in between; like wearing one color and never another.

The Love Ray is centered in the heart.  If we are on this path, we have an instinctive loving of everyone and everything.  Like any other path, this can be a very selfish one if we put all our energy into self-love and gratification.  It is wrong if it becomes obsessive – excessive – as in a parent doting on a child.  It may also lead to upheavals of giving up everything for the love of another.  These are the negative aspects that show us we need balance in this as well as everything else.

Instead, we should send our Creator’s warm, impersonal love out to do good for a loved one, one who irritates us or to a challenging situation; even to the country’s political system, the world, the cosmos.  To do this we should become still, use a biofeedback-like impulse to move the thinking about love in our mind down to the heart center.

There is “gray matter” at this heart center the same as in our cranium as we’ve mentioned before.  We feel the gland in the area of our hearts get warm and come alive.  We allow the energy to accumulate for a few moments, then send it wherever we want.  We allow the impulse to go as long as it wants in a natural manner and then let it close down.  We give thanks for what has been accomplished.

The Angel Gabriel is leader of the Angels of Love.  As with all departments of the Heavenly Realm, there are numberless helpers at different stages of development under the great leader, all of them ready to teach us to love more wisely.

The Angel Azrael, Angel of Life, lets us recognize when we are on that Ray.  Somehow we seem to know, don’t we, for we have said many times, “I guess I just have to try it out for myself.”  If it seems better to experience the hurt or joy than to listen to another’s advice, we’re probably on the Ray of Life.  This can be wonderful.  Experience teaches us wisely if we choose to learn and it leads to much activity.  Life is a powerful ray upon which to express.  Numerologically, Jesus Christ expressed fully on this ray.  He felt love but expressed life – suffered agony, felt deeply, as do we on the Ray of Life.

Love can be used more freely than Life.  The life ray should always be tempered to what is right for us to use.  Just say, “please temper the Ray of Life on which I serve so that no one is hurt.” And know that this is done.  When we send out healing, color work, any service, is sure to ask the Universal Mind where it should go.  If we don’t get an answer let it go back to Creative Source.

Life is health.  If we aren’t expressing good health, we ask that we demonstrate our Life Ray in the right way.  We are to express life in abundance of energy, joy and prosperity.  Let the breath of the Almighty blow through our mind so that we think Life in its beauty and goodness.

Those who are on the path of Peace walk through life evidencing that peace in their outer being because they have achieved an inner peace.  They know they are at peace with the Creator and they bring that surety and calmness to every situation with which they come in contact.  Peach is their color and is what should be sent forth constantly.  As the peach color rays out from them, it wraps that quality around all with which they come in contact.  When those on this path reach the epitome of its expression, they bring peace into every situation to which they reach out and also exude the quality just as they pass.

The Path of Healing calls upon us to believe with our whole being that this is what Universal Mind wants for every one of us.  Often those on this Ray have healing in their touch.  The Holy Spirit flows through these people so mightily that any one, who comes in contact with them, immediately feels better and their spirits are lifted.  This path calls for much prayer – prayers of belief in the ultimate healing.

That healing doesn’t always take place on this side of the veil for the simple reason that until we establish eternal life on this plane, there must be a way for us to exit to our next experience.  Sometimes that way out is just like opening a door and stepping through; other times there is pain and illness connected with it.

Healing can also be brought about by the marvels of medical science, which is being blended more and more with the wholeness of Universal Mind.  This is called “alternative healing” in the medical world.  We are all learning that mind and matter meld together for wholeness.  All that science “discovers” in experiments, eventually establishes that Creative Mind from the heavenly source is the basis of all learning.

The Ray of Nature puts those who travel this way in touch with the earth, the trees, the atmosphere and the stratosphere.  These are the persons with the “green thumb” for whom everything grows.  They approach the political arena to save the environment.  They are gentle tigers in their defense of nature that they touch with tenderness but defend with great energy.

The Path of Music –ah!  This surely must be an adjunct of the Ray of Light to which the author feels called.  Music is her panacea for almost everything.  The public school teachers are brave beyond bearing on this subject as they take the untutored and attempt to instill an appreciation of the best into the small ones.  Certainly they will have stars in their crowns!  Blessed, also, are those who attempt to keep symphonic and classical music going in the smaller locations!  Music – healer of hearts; soother of brows; challengers to make us brave – creativity at its best – music, how we love thee!

The Path of Ceremony has its blessing for those who adhere to a ritualistic way of life.  The Angels of Color whom we call the Color Ray Workers use patterns; ritualistic modes hidden in the colors, with which they express its necessary qualities for those to whom it is directed.  Ceremonies bring admiration and respect of many that participate..

The Ray of Beauty and Art – the Old Masters, the modern artists – all are creative expression in color and material.  This includes sculpting, collage, “found objects art,” water colors, oils, pastels, charcoal, even crayons and anything else which brings beauty to the heart of the admirer.  As well as this kind of art, those on this pathway see fountains of beauty, beauty and admiration of characteristics in the human face and form; the demonstration of talent used to make of any building a place of beauty.

Those who travel this path see beauty in everybody and everything, recognizing that everyone and every object is doing the best that can be done.  Therefore, that is beauty!

The ones who work on the Path of Birth assist in many fields for everything reproduces itself in one way or another.  Even yeast can be formed from the Life cells, which are in the air if they are gathered together and treated.  Grapes can’t be washed before they are made into wine as they carry the yeast cells – the life force – on the outside of the skin.

If we are on the Path of Birth, we must have been present when mold became penicillin as well as in the hospital or home or farm assisting in the birth of a child or a foal.  Birth – another vital part of creation!

The Path of Guardian of the Home carries the future of eternity with it.  Parenting and teaching right concepts is its own reward as we see our children mature to become leaders of mankind or fulfill whatever their final goal might be.  Tending the home in beauty and love puts the same factors in the beings that participate in this holy situation.

These paths are shown to us to let us know how to put Universal Mind back in our lives.  We meditate, listen and select what path we’re traveling.
