Chapter 2

OUR EXTRAORDINARY BODIES - SEEN AND UNSEEN

Information about our “seen” physical bodies has become much more medically available to us in the recent past.  With the advent of the CT scan; the MRI and the well known X-ray as well as blood tests in the lab and the DNA which proves a connection between any kind of matter with a person, many things about our bodies become clear.

There is also great information coming forth about the capacity of our brain.  According to a PBS television series entitled THE BRAIN, we have as much information stored there as could be printed in a billion pages of the Encyclopedia Britannica.

Think of that for a bit!

Surely we're saying that all knowledge is within us.  It’s as though we are unlimited data in a computer, programmed by omniscience available through omnipotence.

There is so much active information in the ether that ONE HUNDRED MILLION SENSATIONS REACH OUR BRAIN EVERY SECOND!

Imagine how delicately we are balanced that we automatically select impulses to which to react.  These aren't always the best for us but we've chosen them.

One inch of the outer layer of our brain contains ONE HUNDRED MILLION NERVE CELLS, WHICH ARE INTERCONNECTED BY TEN THOUSAND NEURONS!  This delicate outer mass is so fine that if it were spun out, it would reach at least from here to the moon and back!  And how casually we treat it!  Yet think how carefully a specialist approaches surgery on this delicate organ!

The rest of our bodies are as marvelously made.  Part of them run on “automatic pilot” from the part of the brain assigned to them.  Our thinking processes take place in this mighty bastion of intelligence and require active participation.

All of these are wonderful yet ordinary things and but still they don’t reach the heights of the mystical qualities of the fascinating auras that are not generally visible until one “looks.”  Neither can the seven chakras of eastern philosophy be seen, except clairvoyantly.

We have seven auras around our bodies.  All of them are oval - egg shaped - which is the general outline of our body.   Physically, our head is at the top of the oval; our torso widens out and then tapers in; the closed feet form the bottom.  Is this symbolic of our auras?  Will the oval “break open” only when we are finished growing spiritually?

All auras are sheer and emanate outwards from us.  They reflect our health and emotional stability; our thinking mind, our intuitive mind and an area in which we carry

our memory patterns from existence to existence.  There are two others auras in the upper cranium that feed the five under them.  They interplay with each other and feed our outer and inner bodies.

For instance, the first health aura hugs close to our body.  It has four parts, all under the influence of the color red.  We aren’t as much concerned with the first three as that is where our bodily functions are governed and they all come under the Mind Powers

of Life (Regeneration and Elimination.)

The fourth part that is closest to our body is very important since it contains our current memory bank.  Here is stored our remembrance of every action and thought of all our time here on earth both emotionally and reflectively.  This is important because we live on reactions to our memories.  The colors and conditions of this part of our first aura reflect our thinking of the moment.  This aura is so close to us that it truly is our double and is called the physical/etheric aura.

It is a misty emanation, close around our body.  It’s color shades from a dark to misty gray on up to shades of yellow, according to the state of our health.  The better we feel, the more delicate the yellow shade and the less gray.

This is our “vital body,” the Source of our life from all Higher Sources.  It joins directly to the chakra known as the “Root Chakra” which is connected like the flower of a trumpet vine at the gland or nerve center located at the base of the spine and cares for our blood circulation and regenerative forces but especially our memory bank.

There are seven chakras just as there are seven auras, each attached to the body in the nerve /gland area of the physical organ to which they relate and are color-coded so that the health of the organ can be judged by the shade of color.

At the mouth of the vine-like chakra where the stem is joined to the organ through which it expresses there appears a connection of energy like a wheel, spinning according

to the condition of the person.  The first chakra connects at the base of the spine, is about two inches in diameter and glows dully in the ordinary person.  In the extraordinary, it is a blazing; reddish-brown shining whirlpool and looks like a small sun.  The more evolved we are, the greater the enormous amount of energy which passes through it and gives us the possibility of expressing ourselves acceptably to those with whom we work.

The second aura whose chakra enters the body at the spleen under the influence of the vigorous, energetic, powerful orange color tinged with shadings of blue and red gives us great power that we must keep balanced.  This is called our “emotional aura” and is one of the most easily seen and interpreted by those who are called “sensitives.”  Because our moods change frequently, every color of the rainbow may be observed at various times.  When we are happy, the flares of bright colors that flash in and out tend to turn their points outward.  The colors are clear, beautiful, joyous, and available to help us.  The flares turn inward upon us when our mood is darkened.  The colors seen around an unhappy person suggest dark, fearful, threatening times.  This is under the Spleen Chakra and disperses the vitality and energy gotten from the sun.

Our auras are a “two way street”, influencing others with our emanations of emotions whether near or far.  They also react to the emotional impact of those who are around us or even in the mind.  They respond to good news or bad news.  We are “truly and wonderfully made.”

The auras and chakras naturally form themselves into three different groups.  The first two have more to do with the physiological or the vital processes of the mechanisms

of the body.  The divisions of the chakras are few - two in the first chakra group; three in the second, two in the third.

The third aura that surrounds us responds to the many shades of the color yellow.  This is a stronger and clearer hue than that which is mixed with the gray of the physical / etheric first aura.  It is called the mental aura and is the one used or misused constantly

since it contains our practical thinking.  It’s our decision-making area in which we use our common sense rather than our emotional reaction or our intuitive faculty.

It is connected at the gland or nerve center called the Navel Chakra.  It comes in at the adrenal glands, the first of the three “middle group” which deals with our personal life.

Slightly more intricate, the Navel Chakra has ten undulations or petals, rather than four for the first, and six for the second.  Its predominant color is a curious blending of several shades of red, with a great deal of green also in it.  The divisions are alternately mainly red and green.

The second part of the “personal”, our fourth aura, is the “upper mental” or “intuitive.”  We use it wisely when we follow our hunches, large or small or tune into our higher nature.  This enters us at the heart where our inspiration and instinctive guidance come in to us.  It is important to act upon the guidance given us at any time, even in the middle of the night when we may be awakened by the intensity of a dream.  Keeping paper and pen or pencil by the bed can be useful for this since we all know how hard it is to remember a dream or some advice when we awaken the next morning.

This aura is green, symbolic of harmony and peace as well as prosperity and intuition.  Its chakra is a glowing golden color, with orangey-red tinges and a touch of brown with twelve whirling sections.

The twelve Mind Powers, which dwell within us in other areas, reflect the tremendousness of our mental force.  They are Faith, Strength, Judgment, Love, Power, Imagination, Will, Order and Elimination.  They deserve books of their own.  One, The

Twelve Powers of Man, has been written by Charles Fillmore, co-founder of Unity School of Christianity and another, The Healing Secret of the Ages, by Catherine Pounder, well-known New Age speaker and author.

The fifth aura (third personal) is called the “thread self” and centers at the thyroid gland, by way of the cooling, healing blue ray.  This aura has come with us since the time of creation.  It has followed us through every incarnation and won’t let us go until we are in complete union with our Creator.

You will remember we said that all of our auras are egg-shaped and wondered about our eventual “hatching.”  This aura seems to confirm the hatching process.  While eggs today are matured in incubators without a mother’s love and guidance, at one time there was a more natural process.  The hens became “broody,” seeming to want to have a family.  At this time, they laid a clutch of fertilized eggs, warmed and turned them in the shell for twenty-one days.  At that time the fully matured chicks inside the shell break out, generally without any maternal help, picking a small hole in the shell first, enlarging it and finally emerging, damp and sticky.  Their mother cleans them and quickly teaches

them to drink water and peck the ground for grit and food.

Could it truly be that we will all come out of our own egg shell (the oval aura) which is around us through our many lives only when we are completely mature and in complete union with our Creator?  When we meet our High Holy One face to face, we may be in such harmony that we no longer need our covering.  The throat chakra for this aura, the laryngeal, has sixteen spokes and divisions.  It contains a great deal of blue.  When seen with the “inner eye” there is a glistening and gleaming like moonlight shining

on the rippling waves in a harbor.  As its sixteen divisions whirl, there is a fullness that reminds us of our many lives we’ve lived and experiences we’ve had and how they still affect us.

The next two auras are so powerful that we say “Creative Force, grant that our thoughts and actions through the other five auras and chakras have been sufficiently kind and helpful that we are acceptable for the magnificence which can be granted through the sixth and seventh holy parts.”

Ah!  These two Higher Auras and Chakras!  They are both pure white lights, the light in which all color is whirled into one.  They are the Creative Essence which feeds us and which is available at all times provided we haven’t put a large amount of harsh thoughts and actions into and through the ether about us.

Both of these auras shine white but number six is under the influence of the indigo ray.  This is the Power ray and is situated in the pituitary gland behind the middle of the forehead.  It is known as the “the third eye” or the “Brow Chakra.”

Its chakra from the high places suddenly splits into ninety-six spokes that show us that we are indeed dealing with a “Higher Source.”  There is so much information and wisdom about each of us that it is here the true clairvoyant goes to discover what to share with whomever has come in need.  It is working from this area that healings take place, questions are answered, guidance given.

A truly gifted high soul and his wife worked together as a team.  He was connected to the Highest Source through this chakra.  This is the center of clairvoyance.  The wife poured power into him to undergird him and took notes of what transpired but

he was the channel through which the great help came.  They were unusually successful in their work as they felt they were “small ones,” not trying for public recognition, but truly dedicated to being of help to any who asked for it.

In the early 1970’s, two gifted women worked together, neither as yet very skilled.  One, deep in her medication, suddenly looked at the other.  In a slow, bewildered voice, she said, “Oh, Sally, there’s something on your forehead!”  She reached out and tried to remove the whirling blaze of color that we now know was the Brow Chakra (the sixth one) in all its glory.

The seventh aura is under the violet color - the inspirational, highest intuitive, mystical hue.  It is located at the pineal gland, which is placed in the center of the head,

both from the front to back and from top to bottom, although it is a little higher toward the top than directly in the middle.  This gland is about the size of the top joint of our little finger.  Ordinarily quiet and lying down, it rises and agitates rapidly when called into activity by our thoughts or words.

This aura is under the influence of the Crown Chakra, that thousand-petalled lotus blossom located at the top of the head.  When it is fully active it is the most splendid of all, vibrating at an almost unbelievable pace.  Like the all of the colors which when whirled together fast show as white, so does this chakra, reflecting faintly mostly violet hues.  There is an additional factor to this supreme chakra - it has a small adjunct like a central whirlpool of shining white that shows a spray of gold at its heart.

The seventh chakra is the only one that changes shape and size as we develop spiritually.  It eventually develops a bulge that covers most of the top of our head.  As we realize our development, this chakra is no longer a depression in the etheric body. The driving force seems to turn the chakra inside out and it stands out from the head like a dome, a real crown of glory.

We’ve seen many pictures of the earlier deities with “top-knots” on the crown of their heads and this is that dome which can truly be seen by those who “look.”  There are also illustrations of this crown of the Christian era.

Let all of these auric ovals and chakras that surround us allow us to be of service.  Let our own free will self-evidence through right thoughts, right actions, right prayers and right connections.  We use our own selections but base them on the highest power that we can imagine.  Our emanations will serve us, make us happy, purify our thinking, give blessings to us and make us a blessing to others.

Be confident for we are in tune with our highest self, connected to Original Source, expressing our perfection to the best of our ability.
